This is a hybrid, part-time position (20-25 hours per week) for an experienced paralegal who will play a critical role in guiding clients through the estate planning process from design through signing.

The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with clients, can explain legal concepts in plain English, and takes ownership of projects from start to finish. Compensation: $25 - $40 hourly

**Responsibilities:**Client Experience & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for estate planning clients after plan design meetings.
  • Guide clients through the document drafting process with professionalism and compassion.
  • Answer client questions and explain estate planning concepts in clear, understandable language.
  • Communicate with clients regarding outstanding information, document review, scheduling, and next steps.
  • Ensure clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the planning process.

Estate Planning Drafting

  • Draft wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, and related estate planning documents.
  • Review attorney notes and convert planning recommendations into accurate legal documents.
  • Maintain consistency and quality control across all estate planning matters.
  • Prepare final signing packages and supporting documents.

Matter Management

  • Manage multiple client matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Track project status and proactively identify issues that may delay completion.
  • Maintain accurate client records and matter information.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure a seamless client experience.

**Qualifications:**Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of estate planning paralegal experience.
  • Proven experience drafting estate planning documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and deadline management skills.
  • Professional, client-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple, understandable terms.

Preferred

  • Experience with WealthCounsel drafting software.
  • Experience with estate planning document automation systems.
  • Experience with Minnesota estate planning documents and procedures.
  • Experience using CRM and legal practice management software.
