About the Role

We are seeking a Business Law Attorney (Freelancer) with experience working on matters involving both U.S. and Indian legal frameworks to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on commercial law, business transactions, contract analysis, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and legal research.

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated outputs related to business law matters, commercial agreements, corporate transactions, compliance requirements, and legal reasoning workflows. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for legal intelligence, contract analysis, compliance automation, and business legal research.

This position is ideal for attorneys with experience at U.S. and/or Indian law firms, corporate legal departments, or consulting organizations handling domestic and cross-border legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Create deliverables addressing common business law, commercial, and corporate legal scenarios
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated legal research, contract analyses, and compliance-related outputs
• Assess AI outputs for legal accuracy, logical reasoning, regulatory alignment, and document quality
• Review AI-generated commercial agreements, corporate governance analyses, compliance assessments, and transaction-related documentation
• Identify legal risks, contractual gaps, compliance concerns, and interpretation errors in AI-generated content
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in business law and compliance workflows
• Support projects involving commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, business transactions, and legal research
• Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards
• Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on legal intelligence and business law applications

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree
• 5+ years of experience in Business Law, Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, or related legal functions
• Experience working with U.S. and/or Indian law firms, corporate legal departments, or consulting organizations
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, business transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance
• Experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, or analyzing commercial agreements and business documentation
• Familiarity with legal research, regulatory interpretation, and corporate compliance requirements
• Understanding of legal principles applicable to U.S. and Indian business environments
• Strong analytical thinking, legal reasoning, and attention to detail
• Excellent written English communication skills
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy and consistency
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling cross-border commercial transactions involving U.S. and Indian entities
• Familiarity with corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and business regulations
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, licensing arrangements, or commercial negotiations
• Experience with legal research platforms, contract lifecycle management tools, or compliance systems
• Prior experience reviewing complex commercial and corporate legal matters is advantageous
