About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Advisor (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on legal research, regulatory interpretation, compliance analysis, contract review, and legal reasoning.

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated legal outputs, review legal analyses, and provide expert guidance to improve AI systems used for legal intelligence, compliance automation, document analysis, and legal research workflows.

Your expertise will help ensure that AI-generated legal content is accurate, well-reasoned, and aligned with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create deliverables addressing common legal and regulatory scenarios within your area of expertise
• Review and evaluate AI-generated legal research, legal analyses, and legal documentation
• Assess AI outputs for legal accuracy, logical reasoning, completeness, and consistency
• Analyze contracts, agreements, policies, compliance materials, and regulatory documents
• Identify legal risks, interpretation issues, compliance gaps, and factual inaccuracies in AI-generated content
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in legal and compliance workflows
• Support projects involving legal research, policy analysis, compliance reviews, and regulatory interpretation
• Review peer-developed deliverables and contribute to quality assurance processes
• Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on legal intelligence and legal operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent legal qualification
• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Advisor, Legal Counsel, Advocate, Legal Associate, or related legal professional
• Strong understanding of legal research, contract analysis, compliance procedures, and regulatory frameworks
• Experience reviewing legal documents, contracts, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with corporate law, commercial contracts, compliance, governance, litigation support, or related legal domains
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and legal reasoning skills
• Excellent written English communication skills
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated legal outputs and identify reasoning gaps or inaccuracies
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with law firms, corporate legal departments, consulting firms, financial institutions, or regulatory bodies
• Exposure to Indian and/or international legal frameworks
• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, SCC Online, Manupatra, or similar platforms
• Experience with compliance reviews, regulatory analysis, contract management, or legal advisory work
• Exposure to legal technology, AI-assisted legal workflows, or legal operations is a plus
