Senior Corporate Lawyer

Role Overview

A highly regarded firm has partnered with Elevate and is seeking a senior corporate lawyer in Sydney to contribute to the ambitious growth strategy. This is a rare opportunity to lead complex corporate and transactional matters, delivering strategic, commercially focused advice to clients while managing deals end-to-end. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a friendly, supportive team culture and hybrid working arrangements + No billable hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver end-to-end corporate and transactional matters, including private M&A deals
• Manage all stages of transactions such as due diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiation, and completion
• Advise clients on corporate governance, capital raising, ESOPs, and strategic business decisions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted strategic adviser
• Drive business development through networking, client engagement, and thought leadership
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, supporting their development and maintaining quality standards
• Promote innovation and efficiency by leveraging technology, AI tools, and improving legal processes

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE in corporate law with strong experience in private M&A and complex transactions
• Proven ability to independently manage end-to-end transactions, including drafting and negotiations
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliver practical and strategic advice
• Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and business development
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative and growth-focused approach
• Having no billable targets is highly desirable for candidates currently in private practice
