About this role
Legal Assistant/Office Manager needed for small family law office (4 days/32 hours a week). Qualified applicants must have a minimal 3 years of recent experience in legal assistant and office management work, family law experience a MUST.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required. Position requires the ability to handle multiple projects, attention to details, strong typing skills, and the ability to work Independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Word and Excel), OneDrive, Alafile, Alacourt and google calendar. Juvenile Court Experience and must be a Notary.
Duties include:
· Essential Responsibilities:
· Prepare and process correspondence, court papers, agreements and other miscellaneous legal documents in an accurate and timely manner, conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
· File Court documents electronically and serve notice on the appropriate parties; various clerk’s office and online
· Develop and maintain filing system.

Assist with accounting and billing
· Schedule and coordinate appointments; Maintain calendars for all critical deadlines.
· Assume additional duties and responsibilities as requested from time to time
by Attorney Brown.
· Education and Experience:
· Must be able to proficiently operate all office equipment including, but not limited to, computers and applicable software, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, adding machine, calculator, and telephone equipment.
· Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
· Must be able to proofread correspondence, court papers and other documents.
· Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly, using correct English.
· Must be able to type 40-50 wpm.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including Word and Excel, and One Drive
· Must have strong organizational skills and be detailed oriented.
· Must be able to work independently, set priorities and work well under pressure.
· Must have the ability to continue to adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency and profitability in a dynamic environment.
· Must maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times during business hours.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
