Civil Litigation Associate | Troy, MI A well-established law firm in Troy, Michigan is seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility while working on sophisticated litigation matters.
What You'll Do
- Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation
- Assist with developing strategic litigation plans and case strategies
- Independently manage a significant caseload while working closely with experienced attorneys
- Represent clients in medical malpractice and complex litigation matters, including federal court cases
What We're Looking For
- 2-5 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience with medical malpractice defense strongly preferred
- Federal court and complex litigation experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a caseload
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a billable-hour environment
- Currently practicing and in good standing with the applicable bar
