Litigation Paralegal / Junior Litigation Attorney
Chroma Management
via Indeed
About this role
Overview We're a boutique firm that specializes in the cannabis space. We move fast, the regulatory landscape moves faster, and we have a need for someone to join the team who knows how Colorado litigation actually works - someone who can hit the ground running.
This is not a polished BigLaw role with a support staff and a printer that always works. It's a hands-on seat at a growing company where you'll touch real, contested matters from day one.
What you'll do
-
Manage active litigation and pre-litigation matters — collections disputes, contract disputes, and commercial claims
-
Draft and revise demand letters, pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement documents
-
Handle discovery: document collection and review, productions, responses, and deadline tracking
-
Support administrative and litigious proceedings
-
Track court and administrative deadlines, hearings, and filing requirements rigorously
-
Draft and maintain commercial contracts and standard terms when we're not in a fight
-
Run Colorado-specific legal research
-
Build repeatable processes so our litigation and compliance files stop living in someone's head
What we're looking for
-
Colorado litigation experience is required — as a litigation paralegal, law clerk, or attorney (licensed in Colorado or recent grad sitting for the bar).
-
Hands-on familiarity with Colorado state court practice, civil procedure, discovery, and filing
-
Strong, clear legal writing — you can take messy facts and produce clean pleadings and correspondence
-
Genuinely organized; you track deadlines and details without being chased
-
Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment; you'd rather figure it out than wait
-
Discretion and sound judgment with confidential and sensitive matters
Bonus points
-
Collections/AR litigation, UCC enforcement, or commercial contract disputes
-
Experience before administrative agencies or with regulatory proceedings
-
Experience with e-filing, e-discovery tools, or matter management software
Don't have cannabis or regulated-industry experience? That's fine - we'll teach you the industry. We can't teach litigation.
Why this role
You'll get range and real ownership. Instead of being one cog in a litigation team, you'll run matters end to end, work directly with ownership and outside counsel, and learn a complex regulated business inside out.
How to apply
Send a resume and a short note on why this role interests you. Include a writing sample if you have one - a motion, a brief, or a demand letter you drafted tells us more than a resume does.
