Location Eugene, Oregon

Compensation with Company Paid Benefits: Base salary plus performance-based variable compensation in the range of $80,000 – $125,000 annually with potential earnings up to $225,000 depending on experience and collected revenue.

Position Overview

Seeking a licensed Oregon attorney to join our family law practice.

This position offers significant courtroom experience, direct client contact, and the opportunity to develop an independent family law practice while receiving mentorship from a 25+ year experienced senior trial attorney.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a family law caseload from initial consultation through settlement, trial, and entry of judgment.
  • Represent clients in hearings, settlement conferences, arbitrations, trials, administrative support proceedings, and juvenile court matters.
  • Analyze legal issues, develop case strategy, and provide practical solutions to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests, settlement proposals, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct discovery and work closely with support staff to ensure timely case progression and compliance with court deadlines.
  • Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients regarding case status, strategy, and expectations.
  • Retain, coordinate, and manage expert witnesses and other professionals when necessary.
  • Advocate effectively during settlement negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings.
  • Maintain professional relationships with opposing counsel, court personnel, and judicial officers.
  • Collaborate with and, when appropriate, co-counsel complex matters alongside senior attorney.

Qualifications Required

  • Active Bar license with the Oregon State Bar
  • Must have a strong interest in family law
  • Working knowledge of Oregon Rules of Evidence, Oregon court procedures, and civil litigation practice
  • Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful completion of a background check

Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-person position with a collaborative and fun team environment in a small reputable local firm established in 2001.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
