Orwins is growing and we are looking for an experienced intellectual property lawyer to join us at partner level — bringing specialist expertise into a firm that is ambitious, growing nationally and committed to building a genuinely excellent legal offering.

We do law differently — commercially minded, client-focused and built around long-term relationships. Intellectual property law is a natural addition to our growing commercial practice, and we are looking for someone who can build an IP offering that serves the real and evolving needs of our client base — from technology and media businesses to individual creators, brands and innovators.

What This Looks Like

  • Building and leading the firm's intellectual property practice — advising clients on trade marks, copyright, design rights, patents and IP licensing across a range of industries.
  • Handling contentious and non-contentious IP work — from brand protection strategies and portfolio management to IP disputes and enforcement.
  • Advising on IP aspects of commercial transactions — technology transfers, licensing agreements, joint ventures and M&A.
  • Working closely with the commercial, corporate and media teams on matters where IP is central to the deal or the dispute.
  • Developing and growing an IP client base — supported by the firm's marketing function and a growing national profile.

What We Are Looking For

An intellectual property lawyer with strong technical expertise across the IP spectrum, an established or developing client base, and the commercial drive to build a practice within a firm that is genuinely committed to your success. Solicitor or chartered trade mark attorney background both welcome.
