Legal Lead - Renewables M&A (A VC-Backed AI Platform)

Cyan Partners have excitingly partnered up with an early-stage, venture-backed company building an AI-native transaction platform for renewable energy financing and M&A who are seeking to make their very first legal hire.

This is far from a usual sole in-house counsel role in the fact that you will operate closer to the head of a boutique due diligence desk. This would involve working directly with the founders and shaping both the product and the company's legal credibility in the market. Taking responsibility for the quality assurance of AI-generated red-flag due diligence reports primarily across solar, wind, BESS technologies is a crucial task in hand.

An individual with substantial energy, particularly renewables M&A transaction experience (circa. 8+ years), ideally with hands-on due diligence leadership across European jurisdictions coupled with genuine interest in AI and legal technology who is excited to build would be most suited to this role. Ability of either German, Italian or Spanish would be highly utilised in this environment.
