About the team
Our Manchester-based Property Insurance team is one of the fastest growing in the firm, acting for several of the UK’s leading property insurers. The team handles a wide range of high-profile and high-value claims, including fires, floods, escapes of water, storms, explosions, and vehicle impacts. With 8 Partners and around 70 fee earners, the team prides itself on being friendly, collaborative, and highly supportive of professional growth. You’ll be joining a dynamic group with ambitious plans and a strong track record of developing exceptional litigators.
What you’ll be doing
Reading and analysing key documents, including loss adjuster reports, contracts, and expert evidence
Conducting investigations with policyholders, loss adjusters, counsel, and forensic experts
Legal research, including case law, statutes, and commentary
Producing clear, high-quality written advice and correspondence
Engaging confidently with clients and third parties via phone, video, face-to-face, and written communication
Managing litigation in the County Court and, where appropriate, the High Court
Ensuring effective file management, accurate time recording, and strong financial hygiene
What do I need?
We’re looking for a qualified lawyer (0–4 PQE) with litigation experience. Ideally, you will also have experience in one of the following areas: property damage, professional indemnity, construction disputes, or commercial litigation. Strong litigators from other backgrounds will also be considered.
You’ll also be:
