About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Legal Administrator to join our Christchurch administration team. This is a key support role, working closely with our legal professionals to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our local Property and Private Client (PPC) practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills further by contributing to all aspects of our busy office. You’ll provide essential support to our PPC team, while also collaborating with other experienced Legal Administrators to provide cover and assistance where needed.

This position would suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is committed to delivering excellent client service.

You’ll have the support, training and guidance from experienced Legal Administrators. Plus, you’ll enjoy working in our beautiful purpose-built office in the heart of Cathedral Square.

Tasks will include

  • Providing high-quality administrative support to lawyers and legal executives
  • Preparing, formatting, and proofing legal documents and managing client files
  • Managing diaries, including scheduling meetings and booking travel
  • Acting as a key liaison for clients and third parties
  • Supporting conveyancing transactions, including coordination of settlements
  • Assisting with trust and estate administration processes
  • Leading the teams monthly billing processes and general team administration

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an administrative superstar with exceptional communication and technical skills. You’ll be able to organise and prioritise effortlessly and thrive in a fast-paced, cooperative, and collaborative team environment. 3+ years' experience as a Legal Administrator is highly preferred, we will also consider those with strong administrative skills in similar roles.

You’ll bring high levels of self-awareness and strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong, influential relationships based on trust. You’ll be highly responsive, organised, and comfortable managing a wide variety of tasks. While experience in a law firm is not essential, strong computer literacy is crucial so you can navigate our systems with confidence.
