Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented legal professional with experience in the NBFC sector and RBI regulatory compliance. The candidate will assist the organization in handling legal documentation, regulatory compliance, contract review, and advisory related to NBFC operations and RBI guidelines.

This role is ideal for candidates with 2–4 years of experience in banking, NBFC, fintech, or financial services legal functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring compliance with RBI regulations and NBFC guidelines
• Draft, review, and vet:
• Loan agreements
• Vendor and service agreements
• Legal notices and replies
• Recovery-related documentation
• Internal legal policies
• Monitor RBI circulars and regulatory updates applicable to NBFC operations
• Support in legal due diligence and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with compliance teams and external legal counsels
• Assist in handling customer disputes and recovery matters
• Provide legal support on lending, collections, KYC, and fintech-related matters
• Maintain legal records and compliance trackers
• Communication with RBI

Required Qualifications

• LLB from a recognized university
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in:
• NBFCs
• Banking & finance
• RBI compliance
• Fintech or financial services
• Strong understanding of:
• RBI regulations for NBFCs
• Contract law
• Companies Act basics
• Legal drafting and documentation
• Good communication and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with fintech or lending companies
• Exposure to RBI compliance processes
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation

For candidates with 2–4 years of experience in NBFC/RBI legal compliance roles, the current market compensation for part-time consulting engagements.

Additional compensation may be considered for:

• Court appearances
• Extensive documentation work
• Litigation coordination

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
