Legal Analyst (Freelancer)

About the Role We are looking for a Legal Analyst (Freelancer) with experience working with Indian and/or US law firms to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on legal research, contract analysis, regulatory interpretation, compliance review, and legal reasoning. In this role, you will work with AI-generated legal outputs, assess their accuracy and quality, and help improve how AI systems understand and solve real-world legal and regulatory problems. Your expertise will contribute to the development of AI systems used for legal research, document analysis, compliance workflows, and legal intelligence. Responsibilities Review and evaluate AI-generated legal research, legal analyses, and legal documentation Assess AI outputs for legal accuracy, logical reasoning, completeness, and consistency Analyze contracts, agreements, policies, regulatory materials, and compliance-related documents Identify legal risks, factual inaccuracies, interpretation errors, and reasoning gaps in AI-generated content Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in legal workflows Support projects involving legal research, contract review, policy analysis, compliance review, and regulatory interpretation Review peer-developed deliverables and contribute to quality assurance processes Create sample legal responses and research deliverables based on real-world legal scenarios Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent legal qualification 2–7 years of experience as a Legal Analyst, Legal Associate, Advocate, or Legal Counsel Experience working with Indian law firms, US law firms, legal process outsourcing (LPO) firms, or corporate legal teams Strong understanding of legal research, legal writing, statutory interpretation, and case law analysis Familiarity with contract review, legal drafting, compliance procedures, and regulatory frameworks Exposure to Indian and/or US legal systems Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities Strong written English communication skills Ability to critically evaluate complex legal content and identify inconsistencies Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting cross-border legal matters involving US and Indian jurisdictions Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Manupatra, SCC Online, or similar platforms Experience with compliance, corporate law, commercial contracts, or regulatory research Exposure to AI-assisted legal workflows or legal technology tools is a plus Why Join Us Competitive hourly pay: $25-$50/hour Fully remote with flexible working hours Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI and legal intelligence research Exposure to AI-powered legal research, compliance systems, and legal automation workflows Flexible project-based opportunities with global teams Work on next-generation AI solutions for legal reasoning and document intelligence
