Role Description This is a full-time Legal Associate role based in New Delhi in a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Legal Associate will assist in researching legal issues, reviewing case laws, and preparing briefs, opinions, and internal notes. Responsibilities include drafting, vetting, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and correspondence under the supervision of senior team members. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and clients, maintaining case files and documentation, and tracking deadlines and hearings. The Legal Associate will also support due diligence, compliance-related tasks, and day-to-day matter management as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and practical understanding of Legal Issues relevant to corporate, commercial, or litigation matters.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and formatting contracts, pleadings, notices, and opinions.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing case law, statutes, and regulations, and translating findings into clear recommendations.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear written legal drafting and professional verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
- LLB or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution; enrollment with the appropriate Bar Council is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); comfort with digital document management systems.
- Prior internship or work experience in a law firm, chamber, or in-house legal team is an advantage.
