1. Client Description
The organization is a commercial aviation company operating in a highly regulated and operational ecosystem. The company prioritizes maintaining strict legal compliance, fostering constructive social dialogue, and protecting its brand image across its operations.
2. Scope
- Hierarchy : Reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and Social Relations.
- Status & Location : Permanent, executive-level role ( Statut: Cadre ) based primarily in Nouméa, New Caledonia .
- Core Objective : Guarantee the legal safety of the company's social practices, support HR transformations, and secure individual and collective labor relations in accordance with local regulations.
3. Key Responsibilities
- HR Legal Advisory & Compliance : Provide operational legal counsel to the HR director and teams regarding the New Caledonia Labor Code , collective agreements, company accords, and air transport regulations.
- Social Relations & Collective Bargaining : Support the HR director in preparing for staff representative bodies and provide legal backing for drafting, negotiating, and securing collective company agreements.
- Disputes & Individual Case Management : Guide HR teams through complex individual situations, manage disciplinary actions, evaluate legal risks tied to contract terminations, and coordinate with external legal counsel on litigations.
- Legal Monitoring : Conduct systematic legal watch over legislative, regulatory, and case-law developments in New Caledonia, translating these updates into concrete HR actions and updated internal procedures.
- HR Project Contribution : Provide legal expertise to transversal company projects involving transformation, working hours, on-call schedules, and the harmonization of HR practices.
4. Qualifications
- Education : Master’s degree ( Bac +5 ) in Law with a specific specialization in Employment Law ( Droit Social ).
- Experience :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employment law, including a proven track record in a similar in-house corporate role.
- Deep mastery of labor law, collective bargaining, and individual/collective conflict management.
- Local Requirement : A local residence history of at least 5 years is specified for this position.
- Skills :
- Professional proficiency in English is required to maintain the standards of the company's broader activities.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, and pedagogical communication skills.
- Exceptional discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to take a firm stance to secure executive decisions.
