We are a collegial law firm and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, service-oriented employment focused and experienced Lawyer to join our Edmonton Office who shares our passion for providing quality legal services within a team of dedicated lawyers and paralegals.

Compensation: $120,000 - $250,000 per year earning ability. Group Benefits.

Job Type: Full-time, in-office (with some latitude for limited home office practice) Edmonton Office.

The role involves handling employment/workplace matters, human rights complaints, and civil litigation cases, providing legal advice to clients, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of two years of employment law practice experience and be able to make a positive contribution to a firm culture emphasizing collegiality, mutual respect and team building between lawyers and staff.
• Legal research, Writing, and Document drafting skills
• Experience in labour, employment, and litigation is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Client management and Communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within our team
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Experience with wrongful dismissal matters and employment contracts
• A member of good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
