About the Opportunity:

A confidential organization is seeking an In-house Legal Counsel to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, providing practical legal guidance across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business operations, managing legal risk, and ensuring compliance across multiple areas of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely legal advice to management and internal stakeholders on commercial and operational matters

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of agreements, including commercial contracts, service agreements, supplier agreements, and confidentiality agreements

Support the business on corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance requirements

Identify potential legal risks and recommend practical solutions to mitigate exposure

Assist with the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks

Manage relationships with external legal advisors and oversee legal matters requiring outside counsel

Support employment-related matters, dispute resolution, and regulatory enquiries where required

Assist with corporate transactions, restructuring projects, and strategic business initiatives

Maintain legal records and ensure contract management processes are effectively administered

Candidate Profile:

Qualified lawyer with a Law Degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent)

3-5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, or general business law

Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders

Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and a professional approach to handling confidential matters

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience within an international law firm environment

Prior in-house legal experience is beneficial but not essential

Exposure to cross-border transactions, compliance, corporate governance, or regulatory matters

Background with firms such as Clyde & Co, White & Case, or other leading international law firms would be advantageous

Immediate joiners will be strongly preferred
