About the role: We are looking for a pragmatic and detail-oriented Legal Specialist to support BYD’s growing operations in the UAE . You will work closely with the regional legal team to manage distributor relations, ensure labor compliance, and navigate the local regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distributor & Commercial Support: Handle legal matters regarding UAE distributors and review commercial agreements to protect company interests.
- Corporate Operations: Participate in the day-to-day legal activities and operational management of BYD’s UAE subsidiaries.
- Labor Relations & Compliance: Manage employment contracts and ensure full compliance with UAE Labor Law through the Qiwa and Mudad platforms.
- Compliance & Data Privacy: Coordinate with external law firms on regulatory matters, specifically focusing on the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other compliance frameworks.
- Regulatory Research: Monitor local legislative updates and provide clear interpretations of new policies and their impact on the business.
Requirements and Competences:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a prestigious Saudi university.
- Experience: 2+ years of legal experience in a corporate in-house role or a law firm. Candidates with strong potential and a quick learning curve are encouraged to apply. Experience in the Automotive or High-Tech sectors is highly prefered.
- Languages: Professional proficiency in English and Arabic (Must be able to draft/review documents and communicate with authorities in both languages).
- Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of UAE government portals (Qiwa, Mudad, etc.) and basic KSA corporate/labor regulations.
- Mobility: UAE National or willing to relocate to and be stationed in the UAE.

- Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between regional legal requirements and local execution.
