Case Manager / Paralegal – Personal Injury Law FirmPosition Overview
Must be bilingual (SPANISH). We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused Case Manager / Paralegal to join our personal injury law firm. This role is critical to ensuring cases move smoothly from intake through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload with empathy and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management & Client Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, medical treatment progress, and next steps.
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, accident reports, and insurance documents.
Litigation & Legal Support
- Draft and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness lists, exhibits, and trial binders.
- Maintain and organize case files in accordance with firm policies.
- Calendar and track all deadlines, hearings, depositions, and court dates.
Settlement & Negotiations
- Prepare settlement demand packages with supporting medical documentation, accident reports, and liability analysis.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel regarding case updates, settlement negotiations, and lien reductions.
- Track case expenses, liens, and disbursements to ensure accurate final settlement statements.
Administrative & Team Support
- Manage case workflow to ensure timely progress from intake to resolution.
- Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Perform other paralegal and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a case manager, paralegal, or legal assistant in personal injury law preferred.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury processes, including pre-litigation, litigation, and trial support.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Proficiency in case management software, Microsoft Office, and Dropbox (or equivalent).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must.
