The role will support legal initiatives across construction, financing, and commercial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on operations, regulatory matters, and corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to finance, procurement, and project development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Advise senior leadership on risk mitigation, corporate governance, and strategic legal planning.
• Manage legal aspects of permitting and operational expansion.
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory agencies on complex legal issues.
• Conduct legal research and anticipate industry trends impacting company operations.

Must-Have Skills:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
• Experience supporting heavy industry, energy, natural resources, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive businesses.
• 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong track record supporting corporate governance.
• Ability to manage multiple complex legal projects concurrently.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Prior experience in an early-stage, fast-growing company.
• BigLaw and in-house experience.
