Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Paralegal with a strong background in immigration, criminal defense, and personal injury law. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently without hesitation.

This role requires leadership in case management, the ability to keep the attorney organized and on schedule, and oversight of support staff and independent contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload across immigration, criminal defense, and personal injury matters.
  • Prepare, review, and file legal documents with courts and government agencies.
  • Track deadlines, court dates, and filings to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, agencies, and opposing counsel.
  • Keep the attorney on task by monitoring priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain organized case files (digital and physical).
  • Supervise and support one legal assistant.
  • Prepare application packages for USCIS, EOIR, and state courts.
  • Assist with case status tracking and administrative follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a paralegal (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong experience in:
  • Immigration law
  • Criminal defense
  • Personal injury
  • Demonstrated ability to lead case management from start to finish.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience supervising staff (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) – required.
