Junior Litigation Associate

A well-regarded regional firm is expanding its Construction Litigation practice and seeking a junior associate to join a group being built from the ground up. This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity with strong mentorship, real visibility, and long-term upside.

The Role

You'll support two junior partners on a mix of litigation and pre-litigation matters across the construction and surety space, including:

• Public and private construction disputes
• Payment and performance bond claims
• Indemnity actions, delay claims, and defect claims
• Contract drafting and pre-litigation transactional work
• Discovery, motion practice, pleadings, and court appearances

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of litigation experience
• Construction or real estate litigation background is a plus — not a requirement
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, or court appearances preferred
• NY admission required; NJ admission a plus
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine interest in building a practice in this space

The Setup

• Based on Long Island; NYC office may be considered for the right candidate
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
