Each case is managed by an experienced immigration attorney and a skilled legal support team, and we have built a reputation for achieving favorable outcomes in complex immigration matters.Position SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Immigration Attorney to join our team at our Palos Hills office. This role is ideal for an attorney passionate about immigration advocacy, particularly in family-based immigration and removal defense. The attorney will be responsible for client consultations, case strategy development, preparing and filing immigration petitions, and representing clients before USCIS, Immigration Court and the Federal District Court.Primary Responsibilities
- Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), including master calendar and individual hearings.
- Handle a variety of family-based immigration matters, including I-130 petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, and waivers.
- Prepare and file humanitarian applications such as asylum, VAWA, U visas, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS).
- Draft motions, briefs, affidavits, and other supporting documents.
- Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in immigration law and policy.
- Communicate with clients regularly regarding case status and required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure effective case management.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the bar of any U.S. state (Illinois license preferred but not required).
- At least 1 year of experience practicing immigration law preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of USCIS procedures and EOIR practice.
- Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a full caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and client-focused approach to legal practice.
- Fluency in Arabic and/or Spanish is highly desirable.
