About this role

Seeking experienced Solicitor/Paralegal, with experience in Private Prosecutions and Criminal Fraud.

This role can be part time or full time and has some flexibility. Ideally suited to a highly experienced legal professional, such as a retired Solicitor/Paralegal who wishes to continue working in meaningful way with control over their days and hours.

You will provide expert support on complex fraud matters, bringing your knowledge and judgement to where required.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct detailed analysis of evidence, financial documents and disclosure material

Draft legal documents, witness statements, correspondence and case summaries

Manage case files, evidence bundles and e-disclosure using modern IT systems

Liaise with clients, counsel and investigators as and when required

Provide high quality analytical input to support case strategy

Essential Requirements

Significant experience private prosecutions and criminal fraud cases

Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex facts and financial evidence

Excellent IT proficiency, including case management systems, e-disclosure tools, Microsoft Office, including Excel and legal technology

Thorough knowledge of criminal procedure and fraud legislation

Highly organized, detail oriented and able to work independently

Retired Solicitors or Senior Paralegals with relevant background are strongly encouraged to apply

Desirable

Previous experience as qualified Solicitor or Paralegal

Familiarity with forensic accounting and/or financial investigations

Current or past practicing certificate
