Paralegal/Caseworker

We are a growing firm of solicitors based in Thornton Heath (Croydon) and are looking for pro-active and positive lawyers with experience of dealing with clients in a variety of legal matters.

Suitable candidates should have the desire to progress in their legal career within the firm. The role would involve dealing with / assisting other lawyers with housing, family, immigration, conveyancing, civil litigation, employment, wills and probate matters, as well as direct client contact including taking instructions, advising and updating clients. Other roles include preparing claims, applications and dealing with appeals, drafting legal documents, assisting with casework and case progression, dealing with client queries, conducting legal research, attending court and tribunals, managing own case load under the direct supervision of our Training Director and carrying out other duties as required .

Who are we looking for:

• Applicants will have excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft packages, some knowledge of legal software would be advantageous, but not essential;
• Applicants should have excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Applicants should have a good positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to work on their own initiative;
• The right applicant will be pro - active and well organised; and
• We are keen to hear from individuals who have experience of working within a legal environment.

We pay competitive salary based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
