Trainee Solicitor – Criminal & Family Law

Location: Middlesbrough Salary: Competitive Job Type: Full-time, Training Contract

Are you an aspiring solicitor with a passion for Criminal Law? We are a well-established law firm looking for a dedicated Trainee Solicitor to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, working closely with experienced solicitors on a diverse caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in case preparation for criminal and family law matters
• Attending client meetings and court hearings
• Drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Conducting legal research and case analysis
• Supporting solicitors in trial preparation and advocacy
• Managing client files and ensuring compliance with legal procedures

Requirements:

• A Law degree (LLB) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
• Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent
• Police Station Representative Accreditation (or be in the process of obtaining the same)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent research and analytical abilities
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
• Passion for Criminal Law
