We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Paralegal who is looking to build a successful career as a Criminal Defence Solicitor. This role offers far more than traditional paralegal experience, it provides a genuine pathway towards completing QWE, making it an ideal opportunity for a recent law graduate eager to take the next step in their legal career.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced criminal defence solicitors, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience. You will play an integral role in supporting the legal team while developing the practical skills and knowledge required for a future career in criminal law.

This position is particularly suited to candidates who have recently completed their LLB or have graduated from university and are committed to pursuing qualification as a Solicitor within the criminal justice sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting solicitors with the preparation and management of criminal case files.D
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence and court bundles.
  • Liaising with clients, courts, counsel and external agencies.
  • Conducting legal research and case analysis
  • Attending court where appropriate and supporting solicitors
  • Providing administrative and case management support to the wider legal team

About You

  • The successful candidate will possess:
  • A Law Degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
  • A genuine passion for Criminal Law and Criminal Defence Work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, professional and client-focused approach
