About this role

Job Summary We are a newly established firm and are moving to larger premises on Ilford High Street within a walking distance from Elizabeth line. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Conveyancer or Conveyancing Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing residential and commercial property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional client service. A legal assistant will be assigned to assist with legal compliance and secretarial tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of conveyancing processes and a commitment to professional excellence. The position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their career within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and review legal documentation related to property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms
  • Manage the end-to-end conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions
  • Conduct property searches, land registry checks, and due diligence procedures
  • Ensure all legal compliance requirements are met within specified deadlines
  • Maintain accurate case files and update case management systems regularly
  • Provide clear advice to clients regarding legal procedures and progress updates
  • Assist in resolving any issues or delays that may arise during transactions

Qualifications

  • Qualified Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Conveyancing Paralegal with relevant legal training
  • Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Effective time management skills to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision

Salary offer will be based on experience and any client following.

Pay: £25,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
