This is a hybrid role based 3 days per week from the Paris office.
This role requires fluency in French and English.

This role sits within Sage’s Southern Europe Legal team, supporting France, Morocco and Belgium. You’ll act as a trusted legal partner to the business, providing commercial and practical legal advice across contracts, compliance, disputes and new product launches. It’s a broad role that combines strong technical legal expertise with close collaboration across operational teams in a fast-moving international technology environment.
What I will be doing
You’ll lead the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licensing, services, distribution and supplier agreements. You’ll support operational teams on business initiatives, provide legal input on new product launches and help ensure customer journeys, terms and conditions, and commercial arrangements are legally sound and aligned with business goals.
You’ll also manage pre-litigation matters and support formal disputes alongside external counsel, while helping embed compliance standards across the region. Working closely with legal colleagues across Europe, you’ll contribute to cross-border initiatives, deliver occasional legal training and help improve legal processes and ways of working to make the function more efficient and commercially impactful.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a qualified legal professional with strong experience in commercial contracts, ideally within the technology, software or IT services sector. A minimum of 5 years experience. You’ll have deep knowledge of contract law, IT law or intellectual property, and be comfortable advising on a wide range of legal and commercial matters.
You should be commercially minded, pragmatic and confident balancing legal risk with business opportunity. Strong drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and build strong relationships across the business. Fluency in English is required, and experience working in an international environment would be a strong advantage.
