Litigation Paralegal Hybrid

Wishart Brain and Spine Law is a personal injury litigation firm dedicated to representing individuals with serious injuries. We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal/Assistant to join our fast-paced and highly focused litigation team.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position suited to a candidate with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in platiniff personal injury litigation in British Columbia. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules and be confident managing files independently in a busy litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting Notices of Application and responding to application materials
• Preparing and filing application records and supporting materials
• Tracking and managing litigation deadlines pursuant to the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules
• Drafting and managing Lists of Documents
• Preparing and organizing trial briefs
• Assisting with and preparing Bills of Costs
• Responding to and diarizing compliance with court orders
• Coordinating filings and maintaining organized litigation files
• Supporting counsel with trial preparation and case management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation
• Strong working knowledge of the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules
• Experience drafting application materials and managing litigation timelines
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with legal drafting and court filing procedures
