Sabio Law LLP is a commercial law boutique built for clients who want senior judgment without big-firm friction. We act for established businesses, privately held companies, and founders across the GTA in business law, commercial real estate, and litigation. We are deliberately building a firm where lawyers own their files, sit across from their clients, and grow real practices.

We are looking for a corporate and commercial lawyer with two to five-plus years of experience to take a central role on our transactional team.

What you'll do

• Lead commercial and private lending transactions — secured and asset-based financing, construction and equipment financing, and syndicated facilities — from term sheet to closing.
• Run asset purchases, share purchases, amalgamations, and corporate reorganizations, including private placements.
• Act on commercial real estate transactions — acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and the real estate side of financings.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage the full range of commercial agreements: purchase agreements, commercial leases, franchise agreements (franchisor and franchisee), and bespoke contracts.
• Advise owner-managed businesses on governance and their day-to-day legal needs.

What you bring

• Two to five-plus years in corporate and/or commercial law, ideally with real exposure to lending and commercial real estate.
• A member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Precise drafting, sound commercial judgment, and genuine ownership of your work.
• The ability to carry files independently — and the ambition to build a practice, not just bill hours.

This is an in-office role in Brampton; a reliable commute or relocation is required. This is a role for a lawyer who runs their practice like an owner — sets the pace, carries the outcome, and is paid accordingly. If you're looking to clock hours, this isn't the seat. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
