About the Role
C WHY Legal Professional Corporation is looking for a full-time Associate Lawyer to join our close-knit team.
The role will focus mainly on family law, with opportunities to work on civil and business litigation matters. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their files, cares about clients, pays close attention to detail, and works well in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage family law and litigation files from intake to resolution
- Advise clients and develop practical legal strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare for court, mediation, and negotiation
- Communicate clearly and regularly with clients and the team, report to a senior lawyer
- Manage deadlines, court requirements, billing records, and file organization
- Work closely with lawyers and support staff to achieve strong results
What We’re Looking For
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- At least 1 years of post-call experience
- Strong interest or experience in family law
- Litigation experience is an asset
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and file-management ability
- Comfortable using legal software, cloud-based systems, and digital research tools
- Able to work independently while contributing to a small team
- Honest, professional, creative, and client-focused
- Multi-languages is an asset

Schedule and Location
This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule. The successful candidate remain available during agreed working hours and attend the Richmond Hill office, court, mediation, or client meetings when required.
