Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Reporting into senior legal leadership, you will work closely with stakeholders across commercial, finance, operations, development and executive teams. This is a role that will see you support strategic transactions, commercial negotiations, project delivery and day-to-day business operations.

Success in this role will require strong commercial judgement, the ability to navigate complex issues and a willingness to operate in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly.

Duties

• Advise on strategic commercial transactions and business initiatives
• Draft, negotiate and review a range of commercial agreements
• Support major projects throughout development, delivery and operational phases
• Provide advice on regulatory, governance and compliance matters
• Partner with senior stakeholders to manage risk and drive commercial outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Qualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience, ideally 10+ PQE
• Experience gained within a leading law firm, sophisticated in-house legal team or a combination of both
• Strong commercial, corporate, infrastructure, projects or transaction experience
• Ability to provide pragmatic legal advice in a commercially focused environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at executive level
