About this role

Our migration law practice is seeking a motivated and detail oriented assistant to join our Cairns office. The position is available on both part-time (job share option) and full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in this area of law to develop skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. You will provide essential administrative support, as well as assisting with case management, client liaison, and file management.

This role is fundamental to ensuring our clients receive efficient and professional service while allowing our lawyers to focus on delivering strategic legal advice and support.

Profesional presentation and communication skills (in person/ telephone / and written) are essential as you will often be our firm's first point of contact.

Required skills:

Proficiency in microsoft office applications.

Time management.

Ability to work both within a team and independently.

Professional discretion and ability to handle sensitive client information confidentially.

Professional presentation and communication.

Preferred experience:

Legal CRM software experience.

Migration Law case management experience.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cairns QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Legal case management: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Preferred)
