Name of the Post: Manager (Tax) Location: Gurgaon Essential Qualification and Experience Bachelor's degree in law, Economics or Political Science (master's degree or relevant certifications preferred). 8–12+ years of experience in regulatory advisory, consulting, legal practice, corporate affairs or public policy. Demonstrated experience engaging with Central and State Government authorities and regulators. Proven track record in managing complex regulatory assignments independently. Roles & Responsibilities Client & Engagement Leadership: Lead end‑to‑end regulatory engagements involving: (a) Central Ministries (e.g., DPIIT, MCA, MeitY, MHA, MEA, MoF, MoCI), (b) State Governments, State Secretariats and State‑level authorities, and (c) Regulators and statutory bodies (e.g., SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, State regulators). Act as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact for senior client stakeholders: Advise clients on: (a) Regulatory strategy, risk assessment and mitigation, (b) Licensing, approvals, structuring and regulatory readiness, (c) Regulatory support for M&A, FDI, IPOs and major investments. Manage interactions with regulators, including meetings, submissions and inspections: (a) Technical & Advisory Leadership, (b) Interpret complex regulatory developments and provide clear, actionable advice, (c) Review and sign off on regulatory analyses, representations and submissions, (d) Support policy advocacy initiatives, including drafting policy representations and consultation responses, and (e) Monitor regulatory and policy developments at both Central and State levels and proactively engage clients. Team & Practice Management: Lead, mentor and review work of Executives and Senior team members: (a) Ensure quality control, risk management, independence and documentation discipline, (b) Collaborate with Tax, Legal, M&A, ESG and sector teams for integrated client delivery, (c) Contribute to proposals, pitches, client presentations and business development efforts, and (d) Support thought leadership initiatives, client forums and regulatory roundtables.
